Here are some examples of potential excursions:
  1. Erigat el-Aoûd – 3 days: Starting from Mhamid, the journey leads to Erigat el-Aoûd, or the Dunes of the Horses, traversing the mesmerizing landscapes of dunes and tamarisk trees. The return journey circles Ras el-Nkhel and passes through date groves, offering a glimpse into the serene desert life rarely explored by tourists.

The Draâ Valley – 5 days: Beginning near the historic Kasbah of Tamegroute, renowned for its ancient Koranic library and pottery, this tour ventures through rugged mountains, rocky plains, and the Draâ Valley. Along the way, you’ll encounter Bougawar, the Dune of the Crow, and the tranquil village of Walid Driss, ending near Mhamid.

What to bring:
  • Make sure your bag is lightweight, you will need your backpack for your daily trekking needs.
  • Walking shoes or trainers with sturdy soles.
  • Hat to protect from the sun.
  • Fleece, gloves, windbreaker, warm hat, warm socks, trousers, nightwear( it is hot during the day but can be freezing at night )
  • Ski mask ( against possible sandstorms).
  • Sunglasses.
  • Sleeping bags.
  • Sunscreen.
  • Torch/Flashlight.
  • Toothbrush and toothpaste.
  • Lighter or matches.
  • Toilet paper ( which you can buy in Morocco ).
  • Rubbish bag
  • Bottled water minimum 1,5 liters).
  • Medical supplies: Prescription drugs, painkillers, bandages, plasters of drops, sunburn lotion, and diarrhea medication.
