4 days desert tour from Agadir

Day 1: Agadir – Taroudant – Taliouine

Morning pick-up from your hotel in Agadir, followed by travel eastward. On this route, we will pass numerous Argan trees native to the region, where you might spot goats climbing the trees in search of food. Our first stop is Taroudant, a charming city called “Little Marrakech.” Although less visited on typical Morocco tours, it has its unique appeal. We will explore the souks and markets before continuing our journey to Taliouine, a center for saffron cultivation. We will spend the night in a lovely auberge across from a beautiful Kasbah.

Day 2: Taliouine – Taznakht – Foum Zguid – Erg Chigaga

We depart our 4 days desert tour in the morning, traveling through the Anti-Atlas Mountains, where the scenery will shift between semi-desert landscapes and uniquely shaped mountains. We will stop in Taznakht, a Berber town famous for its handmade Berber carpets. Then, we continue south, passing scenic landscapes to Foum Zguid. From here, we take a 70km off-road route through rocky, sandy areas, passing fossil-rich mountains and the dried salt bed of Lake Iriqui. We’ll arrive at the Erg Chigaga dunes just before sunset, where you will ride the Camels and spend the night with local nomads, enjoying their drumming and traditional Saharan music under a sky full of stars.

Day 3: Erg Chigaga – M’hamid – Zagora – Agdez – Ouarzazate

Wake up early for a breathtaking sunrise. After breakfast, we head towards M’hamid, traveling 60 km off-road with a stop at Oasis Sacré. Once in M’hamid, we join the paved road and follow the scenic Draa Valley, lined with palm groves. We’ll visit Tamegroute, known for its 13th-century Koranic library and underground Kasbah. Continuing our 4 days desert tour from Agadir, through small Berber Saharan villages, we cross Zagora toward the historic Tamnougalt Kasbah, a former trading and defense post, where you can explore its maze of alleyways, and mud-brick architecture, and enjoy sweeping views of the Draa Valley. Afterward, we drive to Ouarzazate, where we will spend the night.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Agadir

On the last day of our 4 days desert tour from Agadir, we will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s most famous kasbah, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After lunch, we will drive back to Agadir.
