6 Days from Marrakech – Authentic desert tour

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate

Today, after breakfast in the riad, our 6 days Authentic desert tour from Marrakech departs to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. Over the high Atlas mountains, passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude), visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). Famous films have been shot on this spectacular stage, including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, and Sahara with Penélope Cruz, then stop for lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon we will drive to Ouarzazate, Overnight.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Draa valley – Zagora

In the morning, depart to Zagora via the anti-Atlas at 1660 altitude. Then, continue towards Zagora, along the Draa valley with its procession of palm trees. While passing by many typical Berber villages arrived at Zagora, lunch in the place. In the afternoon, depart for Tamgroute to visit the old Koranic library, the kasbah underground, and the Manufacture of pottery. Return to Zagora. Dinner and overnight in a hotel or riad.

Day 3: Zagora – Tazarine – Alnif – Rissani – Merzouga

We will leave Zagora after breakfast, passing again by the Draa valley, to join a track that carries out towards the village of Taftechna and the village of Ait Ouaazique. With its engravers repertoires, and by the road one to join Tazarine and Alnif. After lunch, we will continue 6 days tour towards the impressive dunes of the Merzouga desert via Rissani. Then, ride camels on the dunes to enjoy the sunset. Dinner and overnight in Berber tents.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra gorges – Dades valley

Today morning, you will enjoy the desert’s sunrise over the dunes. And then, ride the camel back to the village. We head to Rissani, you will have a walk to discover the local market and traditional souks in Rissani, then drive to Tinghir and Todra Gorges. It is the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch, we’ll the direction of Dades Valley, enjoying the rock formations and monkey toes. We stay overnight in Dades Valley with dinner and breakfast. Overnight in Dades Valley.

Day 5: Dades valley – Roses valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we will drive through the Dades Valley towards Roses Valley. This route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand Kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. We’ll stop at Kalaat Mgouna, “the rose city”, to purchase the rosewater, which will make your linen smell good. We will continue our 6 days Authentic desert tour from Marrakech via the Amridil Kasbah, one of the last Berber chieftains during the 18th century, now the Kasbah is a house of many Glaoui people. Overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Marrakech

last day in the morning, we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and Atlas film studios, then continue to Marrakech via the high Atlas mountains, you will have a free evening. The end of the 6 days authentic desert tour.
