We then travel to Meknes and the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. A full day in Fez unveils its rich history, followed by stops in Ifrane, Azrou, and Morocco’s largest cedar forest.

In the Sahara, we’ll experience Erg Chebbi’s golden dunes with camel rides, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and a night in a desert camp. The journey continues with Gnaoua music in Khamlia, visits to the Draa and Dades Valleys, Ouarzazate, and the iconic Ait Benhaddou. We then explore Marrakech, a UNESCO-listed city, before ending with a visit to Essaouira (Mogador) and returning to Marrakech for sightseeing.

12 Day tour in Morocco

Day 1: Arrival at Airport – Visit Casablanca

Arrive at Casablanca Mohamed V airport. Then, visit the historical heritage of the largest city of Morocco, and we will be able to explore some places in the city.  As the biggest Mosque Hassan II and the Coastal Seaside “Corniche”. Before we come back to the hotel overnight.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat

Departure to Rabat the capital of Morocco, is the first step in Kasbah of Udayas, which is the oldest place in Rabat with a special panoramic view, the stunning river “Bu Regrag” and the views of the Atlantic ocean. The second step in Rabat is Hassan Tower “Tour Hassan” and tomb, it’s an uncompleted mosque started by “Al Mohads” leader Yacoub Al-Mansour. The evening will be free to enjoy it yourself.

 Day 3: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes

The 12 days tour takes us along a beautiful stretch of farmlands, where olives, grain, vegetables, and grapes are grown. Before arriving in Fes, you will visit Meknes has the Medersa Bou Inania and the Bab Mansour, the Gateway to Moulay Ismail Palace. This leads us to the Henrie-Souani, the horses’ stable and granaries. After that, head to Volubilis or Walili in the Berber language, which is a partly excavated Berber Roman ruins in Morocco situated near the city of Meknes, then continue to Fes. The overnight in your hotel or Riad.

Day 4: Full day exploring Fes

Today, Exploring the attractions of Fes the old imperial city of Morocco. The tour starts from the Royal Palace gate, you will have the opportunity, to visit the ceramics cooperative to see traditional Moroccan crafts, and take you through the narrow streets of the Medina to the Jewish Quarter and the Tanneries. Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we head to the Sahara Desert, passing through Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou, home to wild monkeys a perfect photo opportunity. After lunch in a small Berber village, we continue through the scenic Atlas Mountains, passing Midelt, Rich, and Erfoud, the gateway to the Tafilalet oasis. Upon arriving in Merzouga, we relax briefly before riding camels into the dunes for an overnight stay in a desert camp.

Day 6: full day in the Sahara desert – Merzouga – nomads – Gnawa music

Wake up early morning, to catch the beauty of the sunrise in the desert. then, ride camels back to the place where you will meet your driver, start a tour around the desert, and visit Nomad families and Gnaoua village Khamlia. Where we will be entertained with authentic instruments. After spending a worthwhile moment with Gnaoua, Here you will have a traditional Berber Pizza. Then, we drive to your Hotel or Riad, overnight.

Day 7: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades valley

Today, we will enjoy desert sunrise in the Merzouga desert and then we ride the camel back to the village. After breakfast and shower, we head to Rissani, then Tinghir and Todra Gorges. It is the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch in the gorge, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley enjoying the rock formations and monkey toes. Overnight in Dades Valley.

Day 8: Dades Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Roses Valley and Ouarzazat. The route called the Road of the Thousand Kasbahs – provides numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. We’ll stop at Kalaat Mgouna, “the rose city”. Continue to Ouarzazate via the Amridil Kasbah, one of the last Berber chieftains during the 18th century. then, Kasbah of Taourirt and cinema museum, Overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 9: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech

This morning, We depart to Marrakech via the high Atlas mountains. You will visit The Atlas film studios, after that. You will visit the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. which has served as a natural decoration for many movie producers since the 1960s. And stop for lunch in a local restaurant in the village. In the Afternoon. We will drive to Marrakech over the mountains of high Atlas passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). Drop off in Marrakech.

Day 10: Full day to visit Marrakech

Today will have an optional private Guided Tour of Marrakech, with an official guide. You will see the famous Mosque of Koutoubia, the Medina, and its souks, and explore some more of Marrakech’s secrets: Ali Ben Youssef Koranic school, the Saadian the Bahia Palace, and Majorelle Gardens, a night at a Riad in the Medina. Overnight.

Day 11: Day trip to Essaouira

In the morning, we depart for the coastal city of Essaouira, arriving after a 2.5-hour drive. Explore the Medina’s alleys, browse local handicrafts, and experience the city’s unique blend of cultures. Known as the “City of the Wind,” Essaouira attracts surfers worldwide and showcases Portuguese-influenced architecture. With its blue doors and white-washed walls, it is often called the “Jewel of the Atlantic.”

We’ll visit a women’s cooperative producing argan oil, renowned for its culinary, cosmetic, and medicinal benefits. Lunch will be in the Medina or at the port before returning to Marrakech for an overnight stay in a riad.

Day 12: Marrakech – Casablanca Airport

After breakfast in your riad, we will drive you to Casablanca airport for your flight back home, end of the 12 days Sahara and imperial cities.
